Lyn Godley

United States, b. 1956
BiographyLyn Godley and Lloyd Schwan co-founded Godley-Schwan Design in 1984, where they worked together as a design team for 18 years. Both educated in the fine arts, they approached applied design with an artistic process and vision, which put them at the forefront of a movement that would blur the lines between art, craft, and design. Their first success came with a line of jewelry that was based on colorful shapes and unusual materials, and they later branched into home accessories, lighting, and furniture design. After the death of Lloyd Schwan, Godley founded Lyn Godley & Company, and taught at Parsons School of Design in New York.
