Harlan ButtUnited States, b. 1950
After receiving his bachelor's and master's degrees, Harlan Butt taught at Rhode Island School of Design and San Diego State University, before beginning a decades-long career at the University of North Texas, where he has taught since 1976. He is also a former President of the Enamelist Society. Butt has received additional training in Japan; he spent a year working with master metalsmith Shumei Tanaka and at the Biso Cloisonne Company in Kyoto.
