Gerd Rothmann

Gerd Rothmann trained as a toolmaker before apprenticing with a goldsmith from 1961 to 1964. He also studied at the Zeichenakademie (Art College) in Hanau, Germany. Since the 1970s, Rothmann has been working exclusively with jewelry. He is best known for his jewelry which uses imprints from the body as its central motif.
