Ken CoryUnited States, 1943–1994
"Cory is one of America's younger artists who have taken an independent direction in the creation of jewelry. Not only does he avoid precious stones, the trademark of the commercial jeweler, but he utilizes materials such as plastic, wood, and leather which one usually would disassociate with body ornaments. His statements are direct, highly refined, and consistent in development. Cory's work was included in the American Craftsmen's Invitational at Seattle and in exhibitions at the Museum of Contemporary Crafts, New York,"
