Peggie L. Hartwell

Peggie Hartwell is a fifth generation quilter. Her upbringing in Brooklyn, New York and summers spent at her grandparents' South Carolina farm have influenced her work significantly. Hartwell learned to quilt from the women in her family and learned storytelling from her grandfather. She has formal training in theater and spent years traveling with several theater groups.
