BiographyAfter receiving his degrees from Wayne State University and the Cranbrook Academy, Stanley Lechtzin began a decades-long teaching career at the Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia in 1962. He now is Head of the Metals/Jewelry/Computer-Aided-Design (CAD) and Computer-Aided-Manufacturing (CAM) departments. In addition to his lengthy teaching career, his technological experiments have made him an important figure in the field. he is one of the first artists to experiment with electroforming in the creation of jewelry.
