While attending the Cooper Union School of Art, Norma Minkowitz focused on drawing the human body. Since the mid 1980s, Minkowitz has used crocheting techniques to create three-dimensional sculpture, often of the human form as a metaphor for a vessel. Her work is shown in exhibitions and is represented in collections worldwide.
