Tom Patti
After studying Architectural Theory under Rudolph Arheim and Industrial Design at Pratt Institute, Patti devoted the late 1960's to experimentations with architectural and industrial plate glass. Choosing to work in isolation and with industrial products, Patti's laminated glass forms developed a unique vocabulary that set him apart from his contemporaries during the synthesis of the studio glass movement. In 1982, Patti created his first large scale sculpture using laminated plastic. This began a series of large scale architectural installations in plastic and glass that paralleled a continued exploration of his small scale sculpture.
