Hans ChristensenDenmark, 1924–1983

"Educated in his native Denmark, Hans Christensen worked for several years for the Georg Jensen's Silversmithery in Copenhagen before he came to the U.S. in 1954. His unconventional, utilitarian forms are notable for the clarity of design one associates with the Danish rationale. In addition to teaching, Christensen operates his own shop, executing hollowware, flatware, large presentation bowls, trophies, and ecclesiastical silver. His work has received several top awards in exhibitions in Europe and the U.S., and he was represented at the 1958 Brussels World's Fair."

Education: School for Arts and Crafts (Copenhagen), College of Technical Society (Copenhagen), School for Arts and Crafts (Oslo).

- Objects: USA exhibition catalog, Museum of Arts and Design, 1970.
