Ronald Gerton

Ron Gerton worked as a mechanical engineer for 31 years before retiring and focusing on woodturning and jewelry making fulltime. He set up a foundry in his studio to do bronze casting, and he purchased a lathe in order to work on woodturning. He developed many of his own tools and equipment, including a lathe tool which allows him to create very large hollow vessels. He is self-taught in woodworking and metalworking.
