Richard E. DeVore

"Despite a full teaching commitment as head of the ceramics department at Cranbrook Academy of Art, Richard E. de Vore works long hours in his studio creating personal forms. His work, never imitative, varies from the functional to the art object. Usually he works on one thematic series at a time, probing a particular problem until he feels it has been aesthetically solved."
