Trude Guermonprez

Trude Guermonprez studied craft and textile design at several schools in Germany, Finland, the Czech Republic, and Sweden. She also had a very lengthy teaching career at schools such as the Volkshogeschool in the Netherlands, Black Mountain College in North Carolina, the Pond Farm Workshop in Guerneville, California, and finally at the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland, California. Over the course of her career, she served as a teacher, commercial textile designer, and weaver of rugs and hangings for individuals and institutions.
