Mary KretsingerUnited States, 1915–2001
"Mary Kretsinger has been producing enamels for many years, and her largely experimental approach has been consistently expanded. The religious medallions, enamel and gold jewelry, and especially her boxes are strongly structured, yet notable for the subtlety of the overglazes. She particularly acknowledges Adda Husted-Anderson as having been a major influence. Miss Kretsinger's work has been extensively shown throughout the U.S., and has received many prizes and awards."
