Artist Info
Bennett BeanUnited States, b. 1941
Seduced by the technique of throwing, Bennett Bean turned to ceramics, after working briefly in glass. Over the span of his career, he has become known for his constant experimentation, challenging the "givens" of process and material. He alters vessel shape, glazes, washes, and motifs to create new forms and decoration, often layering multiple embellishments on his ceramics.
