BiographyPeter Pierobon first studied ceramics at Capilano College. In 1981, however, he changed course and began studying furniture design at Wendell Castle School, founded by Wendell Castle, one of the leading contemporary studio furniture designers. When Pierobon graduated in 1983, he began exploring the power of symbols and language in his work. As a result, Pierobon's work typically features iconography from both contemporary and ancient writing systems, such as hieroglyphics or calligraphy, balanced by a labor intensive woodworking technique.Years: France, 1896 – 1985
