BiographyLindenfeld was born in Germany where she studied fashion design at the Art Academy in Düsseldorf. Her family fled Nazi occupied Germany for Holland, and then emigrated to the United States in 1938. In 1945, Lindenfeld enrolled in classes at Black Mountain College and studied drawing under Joseph Albers and weaving under Anni Albers, Franziska Mayer, and Trude Guermonprez. After graduating, she worked as an industrial textile designer for several years before devoting herself to raising her two children, teaching and weaving.Education: 1945-1948 (Weaving and Textile Design), Black Mountain College; M.
