BiographySakiyama graduated from Osaka Art College in 1981, and in 1984 moved to Koganezai where he set up a studio and built a special kiln. His studio, located on the shore of the Izu Peninsula, overlooks the sea, which provides him with a continuous source of inspiration. All of Sakiyama's ceramic forms are inspired by the shapes, sounds and movements of waves, and the undulating sandy surface of the shore line.Education: 1981, Osaka Art College, Japan
