BiographyA former student of Chunghi Choo, the head of the University of Iowa's Jewelry and Metal Arts Program, Korean artist Sung Ran Kim uses traditional and innovative methods to shape her pieces. She creates some of her work using a method she calls hand rolling. Kim found that by using just her hand she could easily stretch or compress the metal to alter the form of her vessels.
