Fred Bauer

Biography"Typical of many of the younger generation of ceramic artists, Bauer uses his obvious technical expertise as a vehicle for the projection of idea-images. In his case, ideas are extended through Funk machine and gadget concoctions, built of slab and wheel-thrown parts and painted or glazed in flat, bright colors. Bauer has been represented in more than one hundred and twenty-five museum and university exhibitions in the U.S., eighty-six of which were invitational, and has won over twenty awards."
