BiographyFollowing his studies at the Kansas City Art Institute and the University of California, Davis, Richard Notkin worked as assistant to ceramicist Robert Arneson. In the 1980s, he studied Yixing Chinese teapots and integrated these forms with his interest in human rights and other global social issues.
