James Turrell

BiographyJames Turrell earned a B.F.A. in photography from Pomona College in 1965 and an M.F.A. in art from Claremont Graduate School in 1973. He worked in photography and created numerous light installations. His interest in light and space led him to buy land in Flagstaff, Arizona which includes a volcano called Roden Crater.
