BiographyTakahiro comes from a lineage of master ceramists. His grandfather, National Living Treasure Kondo Yuzo, was renowned for his traditional sometsuke cobalt blue-and-white porcelains; his father was a ceramics professor at the Kyoto University of Fine Arts. After being a table tennis champion and studying literature in his youth, Takahiro turned to ceramics. He has studied at the Kyoto Ceramics Training School, Kyoto Industrial Research Institute, and the Edinburgh College of Art. His work is now in collections all over the world.
