BiographyJudith Schaechter began her artistic career as a painter at the Rhode Island School of Design. She took an elective course on stained and painted glass and grew increasingly fond of the new medium which challenged her with its demanding process. By the end of her college years, she had switched permanently to painting on glass and had developed her own techniques of creating stained glass. Her surreal and often macabre images on glass have challenged traditional perceptions of the medium.Education: B.F.A., Rhode Island School of Design
