BiographyDan Dailey studied at the Rhode Island School of Design, under the legendary glass program established by glass artist Dale Chihuly. In 1972, after Dailey received his M.F.A. degree from R.I.S.D., he was awarded the Fullbright-Hayes Fellowship. With that fellowship, Dailey traveled to Italy and specifically to the Fabrica Venini in Murano. It was in Italy that Dailey was exposed to the exclusive and renowned glass tradition of Murano. Dailey founded the Glass Department at the Massachusetts College of Art in 1973. Beginning in 1976, Dailey was an independent artist and designer for Cristalierie Daum in Paris. Dailey has exhibited widely and internationally and has taught nationally. Education: B.F.A., Philadelphia College of Art, 1969; M.F.A., Rhode Island School of Design, 1972
