BiographyDominick Labino was one of the founders of the American studio glass movement. Trained in the chemistry and physics of glass, he worked for over thirty years in the glass industry, making innovations in glass fibers that were used in the Apollo Space missions. By 1962, he was vice-president and director of research and development for the Johns-Manville Corporation in Toledo, Ohio.
